Hole’s 2nd Birthday!

Happy birthday, Hole!

It’s wild to me that I’ve already been making this comic for two years, and, also, that it’s only been two years! This project is my baby, and has been vital to me excising a lot of the demons I got knocking around in my head. Here’s to more years as I get this thing done!

I might hear you asking, “But isn’t Hole on hiatus right now?” And you would be right! Publicly, anyway. The middle chunk of this year got too busy for me to finish chapter 04 before chapter 03 finished posting, but as a stopgap I have started posting the sketches for chapter 04 up over on my Patreon. If you’re interested in seeing process of how I make this comic or are just itching for more Hole I hope you check it out! Here’s an example of what the sketch pages look like:

If you’re not interested in subscription models but would still like to support the comic, I have good news for you as well! After every chapter I post several pieces of behind the scenes content over on my Patreon that until now was completely isolated to that platform. To celebrate the second anniversary, I have compiled all of that bonus content and bundled it with PDFs of each chapter to publish together over on Itch.io! This is also beneficial if you’re one of those people that prefers to read PDFs over web reading, or you want to download the comic to take it onto a plane or something.

As for other things on the horizon, I have all of the books in now for the Blix & Vega Kickstarter and have begun the process of sending them out. If you backed the Kickstarter, you should be getting your book soon! If you didn’t, and you’re interested in buying your own copy of Blix & Vega, fear not! I will be updating my Big Cartel store soon with the books as well as new prints and stickers and zines I have made. Stay tuned for that update in the next couple weeks.

I’m very excited to share this one with you all. It marks the end of the “opening” section of Hole, and after this we can start drilling down into what this thing is actually about. Sorry, I made this about drilling hole. I’m sorry.

Another thing I wanted to mention because I think I have neglected to outside of my socials (my bad! still getting used to this) is that as well as Hole updates and prints mailed to you on my Patreon I also have a series of pup play human pets based around different dog breeds up for the NSFW tiers. Here’s a little sample if that’s the kind of thing you’re interested in:

Lastly, while it feels tacky to tack it on at the end here like this, I wanted to say that the ongoing genocide in Palestine is still ongoing, and that whatever anyone can do to help bring attention and aid to the plight of the people there is of the utmost importance right now. An organization I belong to, the Cartoonist Cooperative, is doing a donation drive wherein people who donate E-Sims to the people of Gaza can get art and comic rewards from various people in the Co-op. While I myself had to drop out of contributing art for health reasons, there are many more people involved who would love to reward you for whatever you can contribute at this time. The only thing any of us really have in this world is eachother, and we have to take care of as many as we can.

Hi! It’s been a minute, huh? Sorry about that! I got busy! You know how it is!

Biggest news first and foremost is that Hole has started chapter 02.

Pretty exciting! Excited to be making more progress on that front. As always, patrons get to see pages a week earlier than everybody else.

Speaking of Patreon (and hysterically delayed, I am so sorry), Mark Bouchard and I made a Hellraiser fancomic that’s been serializing over there and is just about to draw to a close. It’ll be a minute before it’s released to non-patrons so if that sounds interesting to you you should go check it out!

Super grody, I know you guys love that shit.

In non-comics news I’ve been putting more prints and some stickers up for sale over at Viscous Discharge Press.

Some final bits of housekeeping are that I got a bluesky and a cohost, and that while neither of them have much on them at the moment I am planning on beefing them up here soon once I’ve got a minute. And if you hate the internet and are ONLY interested in seeing me in person, I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be at both SPX in DC and the Punk Rock Flea Market in Tulsa this September, but I’ll be back with more information on those as we get closer to the events.

October 2022 Launches

It has been a busy month for me! As you may be able to tell, I remade this website! I also have a couple comics coming out.

Hole has launched! Finally! I’ve been working on this comic pretty tirelessly since 2020 and I’m really excited to start showing it to everyone. It follows 27-year-old Jane Nowak as she attempts to figure out what actually happened to her childhood best friend Nat when Nat’s ghost begins haunting her. It’s my first real foray into long-form horror and I’m excited to flex some muscles I don’t usually get to use that much. Five pages have gone up onto the site today and from now on it’ll update with a new page every Monday, with pages going up a week early on my Patreon and breaks between chapters. I’ve really put a lot of myself into this one, I hope everyone enjoys it!

Also launched this month is the second issue of my heretofore Patreon-exclusive erotic comic, Blix & Vega! PDFs of both XXXercise and Work From Home are available on my itch.io store.

Blix & Vega is my hands down my most fun project I’ve made in recent memory, centering on the sexy hijinks of Blix the metalhead thembo and Vega the bossy emo as they both annoy and have sex with each other. So little WLW porn out there actually appeals to my transmasc butch sensibilities so I wanted to try my hand at it and I’m pretty happy with the results. More granular content labels can be found on their individual listings (Work From Home here, XXXercise here) but they can be bought together for a slight discount if you click here.

With all that said, I didn’t really have time to draw any seasonal illustrations this year and I’m kind of sad about it. Have this one from last year to tide us both over until next year.
